As designers we are both passionate when it comes to flowers as we know how important a beautiful bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, table arrangements and décor is to not only to the bride and groom but also to the guests at a wedding. Weddings are only one aspect of our floral services and the same love of combining colour and texture in arrangements for the home and other events carries through.
Whether your style is romantic, formal, chic, or naturally rustic we can help make your vision for your wedding flowers a beautiful reality.
With an abundance of amazing locally grown organic flowers to choose from right here on Galiano Island, your island wedding flowers will be special and unique. If we don’t have what you are after locally we can select blossoms from a wide variety at the wholesale flower markets in the city.
We believe beautiful weddings are defined by the details...
From planning and design to delivery and set up, we are here to assist you with all your wedding flower details. With over 40 years of combined experience, the designers at Galiano Florists are dedicated designers and will help make your wedding a beautiful celebration.
We hope you will enjoy browsing through our selections of individually created bridal bouquets, centerpieces, aisle décor and much more.
Flowers are such a special and integral part of any wedding celebration and flower arranging is a joyful and rewarding occupation that I have had the pleasure of doing for over 30 years.
After high school, I worked for many years in the wholesale flower industry and then opened my own flower shop in Vancouver in the early 90's. I specialized in providing flowers for weddings, hotels, cruise ships and many corporate clients.
After moving to the Galiano Island I started collaborating with LInda Cupples and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work at this happy profession together.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I was influenced from growing up with parents who owned a garden nursery where they grew their own flowers, herbs and shrubs over 60+ acres. In 2004 the first flowers were planted in the garden on our Galiano farm. Roadside stand bouquets were sold summer long and floral arrangements were designed for many Galiano Island weddings. I love creating bouquets with attention to using local organically grown blossoms, greens, herbs and other elements from our environment. With the trend toward more “natural” and less formal wedding flowers our field cuts fit in perfectly.
Requests for wedding flowers grew each year and I realized I needed to work with another florist who shares my same passions and desire to create beautiful bouquets. Linda and I began working together.
